  Okay I definitely understand the fascination around this film and the exploration of sexual trauma, however, it was just too much for me to enjoy.

  Isabelle Huppert is incredible, having to deal with some of the most uncomfortable scenes cinema has ever seen. We feel sympathy for Erika despite her repulsing actions because in the end she is projecting as a once victim of sexual trauma.   Definitely an war-themed classic, better than many today. The cinematography and visual effects are excellent, especially the blue lightning scene. The weapons used perfectly represented the combat used to fight back in war zones,

  It took me so long to finally watch this movie but I’m so glad I did as it gave me the closure I’ve been searching for.
