Abuse… child neglect… unsettling visuals. You’re in for a ride… however, it is one of the most creative and insane shorts I’ve seen. As an artist who has aspired to be a comic book illustrator, the whole time I watched this movie I couldn’t help but think about how relatable it is. The emotions of the characters, their motives for drawing, the connection it brings them. Unmatched.
The story is unexpected and wonderful. The grind of an artist is real and we got to see how it affects daily life, the sacrifices that are made, but also the kinship and the immense amount of passion that is put into human made art.
