This was my first Wes Anderson film, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I particularly enjoyed Anderson’s distinct editing and cinematography style, which made good use of POV shots and both pans and whip pans. The unique set design and colour coordination is also a plus. I also thought that the story was engaging and easy to follow along. I would recommend this movie to families with children over the age of 10 for some suggestive scenes involving a childhood love affair, but all in all a good film.

An exciting zombie flick with good pacing and well timed deaths. The gore wasn’t gratuitous for the sake of gory which was also a plus. I liked most of the characters in this film as they had excellent chemistry between each other. I was a bit let down by the rather anticlimactic ending however. Overall a good 4.5/5 stars
