The Big Year 2011
Listen, there’s Not Passing the Bechdel Test in the women-don’t-matter way, and then there’s Not Passing the Bechdel Test in the let’s-watch-men-make-hair-brained-decisions way. The second way is like a benevolent anthropological study, and I support it.
That’s what The Big Year does. Love how it starts as a road movie but with everyone in different cars. Also, it’s all about being a nerd!!! And how nerdery can transcend class boundaries!

Bones and All 2022
I went into this movie cold. So, uh, the first scene made me flip out a lil bit, but we recovered. Once you understand the macabre metaphor, it becomes a bit more relatable…but only a bit. VERY GORY, and I do not willingly seek out gory movies. But the story made up for it. No 4.5 Star movie is complete without morally grey characters
