This is a movie is just a complete shit sandwich. It tries so hard to be sad but it’s attempt is just laughable. When the main girl just decides to jump off a building during a fireworks show I just had to laugh. It tries to be this deep and edgy movie when it’s just not. They literally have a scene of a bully girl trying to beat up a deaf girls mom just because her daughter is deaf??? Like what even is this movie.
I don’t know what made me think of this movie as sad. I just had it in my mind that it was a sad movie about dogs. But it’s really not. It has its moments where it is sad (like the aunt just treating lady like shit, or the dog getting run over by a car) But I really enjoyed this movie and how sweet and pleasant it is. The scene with the mother singing to her baby just has a special place in my heart.
