This is a good film.
It has some problems and we all know what they are, since it's a Snyder film, but apart from these problems (which at this point can be considered part of the Snyder style), this is a fun movie to watch, with a good story, good characters, good setting, good special effects, nothing is particularly great, but everything is good and it works most of the time. Think about it: it's a 2 hours and 15 minutes film and time flies with it.
I like it and I'm looking for part 2.

Finally he did it again.
I fell in love with Kleber when he released Som ao Redor, but after that he couldn't achieve that level of artistry. Aquarius is boring and Bacurau is just awful. His narration here is a little off-putting in the first chapter (mainly because of his pauses - another anglicism devastating Brazilian culture), but after that you can feel he's not only comfortable but in love when talking about cinemas. What a fantastic film! An excellent work that reveals human cruelty in the name of freedom, equality and fraternity, but above that, it shows us the consequences of love for God, the need for devotion and His plans for each one of us. A moral tale filled with beauty and holiness.
