"Come and see" exceeded all the expectations for me. From gruesome and terrifying to being very artistic and heart-touching. I have watched most of the movie just sitting there and absorbing everything Flyora (Aleksei Kravchenko) was going through and of course all of his emotions, but completely mesmerized with the beauty (and of course the sinister vibe) of the whole movie. The sound, the acting, the screenwriting, just everything, mostly the acting, man oh man I live how Russian people act; the passion, the expressions... But the movie wouldn't be whole for me if there wasn't that ending, that last 10 minutes just tore me apart.
WOW, this movie!! Just perfect... The acting, the original story, just everything. This movie makes you feel different about deaf people and crawls under your skin so you think to yourself: "What would I do if I was deaf?" The moments of silence are absolutely eerie, but the best thing is the empathy that you accumulate for Ruben throughout the movie. Unquestionably deserves to win the best actor and original screenplay awards.
This movie is marvelous and very poignant. The acting is remarkable, especially the quarrel parts; whilst you feel their exasperation and fury, you still feel the genuine agonizing feeling like you were there. The movie shows what it means to truly love and to be loved, to understand someone, which is done exquisitely. In conclusion, this movie is noteworthy because it is breaking all the expectations and truly inviting us into the story of a married couple divorcing, which shows us the loathsome part of being married.
