  Yeah, probably his most complicated movie of his. I might need a 'ending explained" video to understand this. I have now finished all of PTA catalog and this is most definetly unique.

  From the cinematography being more close to the actors, the narration, to its strangeness. It kinda reminds me of Under The Silver Lake with its conspiracy aspect although this came out first and takes place in the 70's.

  I dont know if my opinion would have changed if it was my first Paul Thomas Anderson movie or if I watch it again, but I dont see many people when they talk PTA about this movie.

  Directors first films can go both ways, you see their vision for what is about to come or you see a smash hit. In this case, his style is there but he kinda loses it on the second half.

  I didn't know what to expect. I've seen both versions of this story. But taking my siblings to see this, looking at their uncomfortable expressions, yeah it's definitely a moment to remember
