Come and See takes place in Nazi-occupied Belarus in 1943 and is shown from the perspective of a young boy. Throughout the film, Flor experiences a variety of instances that shape who he becomes by the end of the movie. Between early stages of shell shock, finding and losing friends, witnessing unspeakable horrors, and eventually succumbing to PTSD, this film highlights the true horrors of war without any distractions of heroic music and epic tales of victory.
