100 tells the story of Joyce, a woman terminally-ill with cancer and had about 100 days or about three months to live. She then grabs her post-it notes and jots down the things-to-do in the remaining months of her life. At first, her tasks are mostly practical and closures but it eventually expands to spiritual ones.
This is sort-of like a Filipino version of 2007's The Bucket List but the similarity only ends with the list. While the film suffers from familiarity, Chris Martinez's 100 is still a thoughtful meditation on life and death. I particularly loved the use of dark and light-hearted humor here despite its serious subject matter. Very effective.

Joyce’s apartment is painted mostly white and the atmosphere is bright and heaven-like, symbolizing the imagery of heaven. The way Joyce sleeps on her bed is similar to the way a dead person lies down on the coffin, an imagery of eternal sleep perhaps.
The final sequence when Joyce leaves this world is a moment of silence. No dialogue and for a short period, no music. The end of 100 is also similar when the film opens, Joyce is seen in the peaceful mountains and her loose clothing.
