It's so surreal to revisit this. It's one of those things that represent such a very specific window of time in my life and in light of recent events (Bam Margera just got booted from Jackass 4 for addiction issues) it also puts the passage of time and aging into perspective.

This can easily get dismissed as angsty white people doing stupid shit, but there's no denying how cathartic it is to see all this outrageous chaos on display with sharp editing and an intense soundtrack ranging from Björk, Rammstein, In Flames and Anal Cunt. God bless Bam Margera.
Watching this reminded me of the first and only time I ever landed a kickflip and the 15000 other times that I attempted to land a kickflip and instead just ate shit. Ooh yeah. The good stuff.

Bam Margera has a stronger directorial vision in the CKY series, in particular in CKY2K, than most big budget hot shot directors and every cunt in Hollywood is scared to admit it.

It’s the most memorable tape of the series. Gnarlier and flashier; Bam’s coming into his own as a parking lot goth and typical rural 20-year old, obsessed with a bad band, too indulgent to realize nobody wants to watch him make his own unsanctioned music video for these fuckin’ terrible HIM songs, but it’s alright because Brandon’s here and he’s smearing shit on his friend and ruining Pennsylvanian’s days.
