Pilotfilm zu einer Abenteuerfantasy Serie aus dem Jahr 1997. Ralf Moeller ist Conan. Damit ist eigentlich schon alles gesagt. In den 90ern gab es ja einiges an Fantasy Serien. Diese hier gehöhrt zu den schlechteren. Alles ist billig gemacht. Action und Effekte sind lächerlich. Da ist die Hercules Serie gold dagegen.
Die Serie gibt es zur zeit bei Prime. Ich hab den Pilotfilm gesehn, das reicht mir schon. Ich gebe auf..🙈😅😂😂

actually a two part tv pilot made in the wake of xena, surprising no one it’s not good but comparing this to the other conan movies is like saying rembrandt is better than a five year olds crayon drawing. sconan fights an ancient atlantan alien then the cgi head of the god crom (who’s one constant trait is indifference) appears and tells conan that he must stand up for the oppressed and that he is proud of conan.
I will die on the hill, defending that this is the better Conan movie.

The acting is terrible, the sets are laughable, the writing is awful. The women all look like bikini competition models and the men are a mixture of carnies and anabolic muscle mass. Mash it all up with some Lawnmower Man level CGI and somehow, through all that, the show manages to be… fun???
In part I think that the world of Conan is just a fun world. Evil wizards, bodacious rogues, magic swords, hidden treasure; there’s just a lot of fun shit in here. Even if the whole thing is like watching an adult version of Legends of the Hidden Temple.
The other thing really has to be that every aspect of this just sucks so…
Needs more Crom.
So the acting isn’t very good and a lot of the swords look like rubber and the squibs don’t go off at the right time but damn this movie has heart. Somebody had a passion for designing Eastern European middle aged armor and costumes. Arnold is so buff and everyone’s wigs are so thirsty.
