  Doula is a movie about a pregnant woman who is surrounded by men who think they know better. But, it's actually so much more.

  Doula is extremely funny.
  Doula is quietly isolating.
  Doula is deeply sad.

  I saw this at SIFF and what an experience it was enhanced by the ability to talk to the writer/director pair Cheryl Nichols and Arron Shiver. They had wonderful insight to share and I could tell this project was coming from the right places creatively.

  The cast was extremely talented and bolstered the already awesome script.
