I recently watched Dunkirk (1958) on Tubi. The film follows the German forces making significant headway against the British and French on the beaches of Dunkirk. As extreme casualties mount, some soldiers must step into leadership roles to lead their men to safety, where they can regroup, shift from defense to offense, and hopefully slow the German invasion.
Directed by Leslie Norman (The Lost Continent), Dunkirk stars John Mills (Great Expectations), Richard Attenborough (Jurassic Park), Michael Bates (A Clockwork Orange), and Ronald Hines (Rough Cut).
