so vibey! after this and their follow up film sissy i’m very much looking forward to what hannah and kane do next, loving their work sm 🫶
A bittersweet & insightful portrayal of an experience of life & relationships that can only happen in young adulthood.
This film is funny, as well as heart wrenching!
And it’s super poignant because it takes place in some of my favorite locations: the CA coast, the Madonna Inn, Yosemite, & ends up in San Francisco. It’s been an hour since the film concluded & my heart still feels like it’s breaking. Not a bad thing, but unexpected.
Written, produced, co-directed, & starred in by Hannah Barlow… who also was similarity impressively involved in the film “Sissy”.
I think now, I want to be Australian. Or at least, got to Australia.
Did I watch this because someone involved with it is connected to my ex and the film was free on Tubi? Yes, yes I did.
this was the mumblecore pch road movie of my dreams thank god for big sur 🙏🙏🙏
Watched in class with director Hannah Barlow.
hannah barlow nation we need to rise the fuck up
Starts out as a low-key comedy with laugh-out-loud moments, only to shift gears abruptly in the third act. Lots of layers in this one, almost acting as a mystery during the brisk runtime. Love the shoegazing near the end.
pure vibes tbh. will rewatch and give it a critical rating another time when im not actively avoiding my eco asian economies assessment task
This for me, is if like *Boiling Point* but for a road trip.
