This excellent film is FINALLY on Letterboxd!! Seeing it at the Galway Film Fleadh and being able to talk to the cast/crew was an experience that I’ll cherish forever.
Saw an Irish film on TV and just watched it.
Act 1 was leading it up to be a surrealist comedy. But then act 2 and 3 ditch that and just make a film about making art, the struggles of finding yourself in the world and brotherhood. I wish it just kept to one tone throughout, but it was still neat. It was self funded so I can respect the messages of creating art more, because even though it’s a good message I’ve seen it done better countless other times in better films. However, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it. It has a few good laughs and is a really sweet story about family. Also really cool how it uses the Irish language, which is diminishing overtime, really helps it the language feel more alive. So yeah this is underrated as hell

This is about as random a discovery as it gets for me: When I got home and stared into space and the Irish language channel TG4 for some inexplicable reason was turned on and this film just began and I just started watching this and then just couldn't switch it off as it was equally charming and cringe all at the same time.
Lucia Evans won You’re A Star, sang the magnificent “Bruised But Not Broken” and she can act as well??
