The adventure drama does offer a passable cinematic experience backed by some good technical values and strong performances. Though the budget feels evident at places, given it is a crowd funded indie shot over 5 years movie, the output looked quite impressive. It has an interesting quest for freedom storyline, one that holds enough suspense, getting neatly interwoven through three parallel narratives with good surprises and twists. Despite of the loopholes and shortcomings, it genuinely attempts to break the norms of its industry and the effort is commendable enough.
Honestly I didn't enjoy this movie and it was exhausting to watch and complete this, but I really have to appreciate the wonderful craftmanship and their 5 years of hardwork for this. Technically so good, Beautiful cinematography and brilliant sound design made my experience worthwhile. It's an honest, ambitious and unique attempt for sure, the non-linear narrative with alternative timelines interwoven together was great idea but as I said narratively wasn't that engaging for me and writing doesn't have much to offer too. I had high hopes for this movie after watching that trailer maybe that spoiled my experience. Also Vishwak sen was a surprise, he did so well in this. Still It's a great debut work by Vidyadhar Kagita, I'll be looking forward to his next work.

Gaami is one of the most unique attempts to come from Telugu Cinema. While the narration feels slow and dull at times, the interesting storyline coupled with the top notch visuals and music keep this one engaging. Vishwak and the rest of the cast have done well. Despite some of the flaws, you can give this one a try for the different experience it offers.
There are two kinds of twists in films for me, one that comes out of nowhere and the other that keeps dropping enough hints to make it feel earned by the time it lands - Gaami falls into the latter category for me that has an expected twist but the unexpected emotional connect and themes leading up to it saved the film for me!

Vidyadhar took an interesting approach to mix 3 different films of 3 different genres into a single film but couldn’t blend it perfectly. If it wasn’t for that obviously ripoff twist this would’ve gotten even more respect in my eyes. Bro literally took Awestruck Adventure, Decent Drama and almost Shit Sci Fi and edited in a way that it settles the film equally one time it cuts perfectly and the other abruptly that ruins the flow and emotion. It does have its heart at the right place and we'll intended but both of those doesn't make it a good movie . It has a lot of flaws writing wise eventho it is fairly good in the technical department. The performances were good and probably the only watchable vishwak outing in a long time .
The movie does have a lot of good moments but it just doesn't cut it.
The cinematograpy and the visuals were striking and the score did justice to whatever was being shown on the screen . Only if it had a better pacing and a tighter screenplay, this definitely would've been something. Nevertheless the efforts that went in making this movie is commendable, looking forward to what the director does next .

First of all I need to focus on one thing in this review. Monnati nunchi Lag lag, nidra occhindhi ani sava denguthunnaru andharu. People watch a movie with their goldfish attention span and oka 1 minute silent scene ragane nidra potharu. Maarandi ra. No movie is lag or boring if it has something unique to offer, it's just that you aren't ready to take it. Let me clarify. The film has got heart, it wants to say a story that is very relevant to our times, yet the translation to screen leaves no impact on the viewer. Tries to dramatize certain events, but the budget constraints show up like a sore thumb.
Vishwak Sen is excellent throughout. Man has got great eye for unique, original scripts.
Will keep rooting for Vidyadhar.

I don't know how much to rate this exactly but this was some experience I had, made for the big screens .
With it's fair share of flaws Gaami still manages to impress mainly because of the technical brilliance.
Nice to see something like this being made.
