Written by divorce attorney CHOI Yu Na, 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧 is a very realistic and relatable series; probably most of the cases, if not all, may be based on true stories.
Through the lens of the attorneys, we can see in the series how Korean society sees divorce for women as social death, which made Korean women tolerated both physical and emotional abuses instead of divorcing their husbands.
Another issues will be lack of communication between couples, in which sometimes divorce gives them the opportunity to open up.
JANG Na Ra is definitely the MVP here, speaking of only crying scenes, she shows various ways handling different emotion of crying impressively.
Nevertheless, it would be better if the series ended with 12-episode length. Don’t get me wrong, the series ended pretty well given the current 16-episode length, seeing every character got their own growth, but the last few episodes somehow expendable (EP11, EP14-16 in particular).
