  The Darkness.

  Slow-burn mystery has an absolutely unexpected ending.
  A good thriller with perfect run-time but still feels bit stretched, could have been better. Fahadh Faasil did it one more time, one of the finest actors of this era.

  Cinematography and lighting is impressive.

  I had lots of expectations from this one and this was pretty good. This film has lots to appreciate from it. The cinematography is so so good! Jomon T John has captured it wonderfully through the eeriness effectively and he deserves some credit. Color palette was also nice as well. Editing is really good to build up the tension but lacks depth with narrative in the second half. The performances were great as always. Fahadh as always the G.O.A.T! There is nothing to say about him. Soubin, I felt his is miscast because don't get me wrong, it is a good performance but he didn't give much attention to the character which I felt eh.   A good premise set-up very well with a brilliant sound design and score but let down by it's writing. The screenplay and the narrative was all over the place in second half and the climax was also a downer. It would have been better for the mystery if the narrative was set wholly from the girl's perspective but they made it jump from her to soubin. The acting was decent imo nothing spectacular. So it's technically solid but the storytelling is not upto the mark. If you like 90 minutes thrillers and have nothing to watch.. give this one a go at Netflix.

  Man, I dont mean to be a bitch about OTT but damn this one would have KILLED it if released in theatres... I would even say it's almost 0% OTT material cos its very evident that many of the scenes and situations in the film have been designed in such a way that it would have been only effective if viewed in theatres.

  The film is not something we havent seen or heard of.There is very little to call it "out of the box"..But whatever they have done, they did it pretty neat.
  Good thriller, nothing more nothing less.

  Also special mention for the writing team to layout the film just like a novel.

  This is literally an Among Us game.

  It takes the excitement of the game and ramps it up by several notches with some solid performances, score and the best part of the film - atmosphere.

  This same atmosphere works brilliantly from start till the end credits of the film. There is a really exciting conversation set piece right before the thrill goes on overdrive. The dialogues, acting and camera movements in this scene is just pitch perfect. Honestly, I would love to see a Malayalam film with a similar set of characters just having a conversation.

  The atmosphere is also very much seen in how the suspense is handled. The time taken to set up the second half works really…
