A well crafted biopic from Nag Ashwin that ends up a great tribute to the legendary actress Savitri. The movie covers her life journey through all her ups n downs, both personally and professionally with well researched nuanced detailing. Keerthi Suresh is just exceptional, breathing life into the innocently compassionate yet strong willed character, and shapes up the heart n soul of the drama. She is well supported by its stellar supporting cast too. The narrative gets cleverly structured, unfolding the emotional journey in a solidly entertaining and engaging manner. The production design, cinematography and music are perfectly apt. Highly recommended.
They did a real favour to Gemini Ganesan by casting Dulquer Salmaan.
Mahanati will take back you into an golden era of 50s 60s, One of the best biopics ever made... A wonderful tribute to the greatest actress the South Indian Cinema had ever seen... Mahanati Savitri garu , you will always be remembered !!!
i havent seen any savitri movie (To which The biopic is made) But the actress in movie had so realistic and natural.
Featuring an extraordinary performance by Keerthi Suresh and a strong supporting cast.
Mahanati Savitri Garu 🙏
A classic telugu cinema for today's world. No wonder why Keerthy Suresh got National Award for best actress 2019. She is so beautiful and amazingly talented. When I saw the original and portrayal photos at the end credits I was amazed. Goosebumps after finishing the film.
Dulquer Salmaan and Samantha Prabhu were also amazing. They nailed their characters. Vijay Deverakonda, Rajendra Prasad Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj were good too. Surprised to see Naga Chaitanya playing his grandfather in the film. He was good too.
Never thought this film will be that engaging and entertaining. Class cinema ❤️
reminder that savitri got groomed so no you don’t wish dulquer could ruin you the way gemini ruined her! xoxo
living alone means no one can stop you from watching this at 3 am and sobbing into your raccoon like why would dulquer do that to her and look so sexy doing it why would he do that dawg whyyyyyyyyyyyy would he do that it makes me sick to my stomach this might be the worst situationship in all of history and i know of a 6 year situationship that only uses snapchat i keep coming back to edit this but like what the FAWK and on top of it all they have a pink girl chartreuse boy moment when they get the ice pops it makes me sick sick sick sickkkkkkkkkkkkkk he can take that ammadi and shove it up his ass like on the bright side i think my period is getting back to routine
mahanati to me will always be the best biopic ever made. I may have not watched all the biopics out there but i’m pretty sure that nothing will ever come close to my love for this movie.
I would also let Dulquer Salmaan break my heart and destroy my career 🥵
what having loser men around does to a woman
Absolutely brilliantly made biopic. Keerthy Suresh gives an awestruck performance and probably fits the role best than anyone else, might just be her career best. Fabulously filmed and written, loved the transitions between the last and the then present and the chemistry between Deverakonda and Samantha. Ah! Dulquer, there’s no one like him.
I felt like I just witnessed a whole generation of Telugu cinema. Got to also know about many huge names in the industry. A truly well made biopic and a gem in TFI. The film is all worthy of its national awards.
PS the ending scene 🤌
I just think that women
