  വീടും പറമ്പുമൊക്കെ പാർട്ടിക്ക് കൊടുത്തിട്ട് കൊൽക്കത്തയിൽ യൂണിയൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ പോയ ആളാ അച്ഛൻ.ഒടുക്കം പാർട്ടീം നേതാക്കളും ഒന്നും കണ്ടാൽ തിരിച്ചറിയാതായി..
  ഞാനും നടന്നു കൊറേ കാലം.ജനകീയ ജനാധിപത്യം ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ.

  അവരവരുടെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ നടന്നു പോവാനുള്ള ഒരേർപ്പാട്.അത്രേ ഉള്ളൂ.. വിപ്ലവോം പ്രണയോം ബന്ധങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ..
  എടാ..ഈ ഓർമ എന്ന് വച്ചാ ഭയങ്കര അപകടം പിടിച്ച സാധനാ..Memories are dangerous beings..പെട്ടുപോവല്ലേ കുട്ടാ.."

  ഒരേട്ടൻ തന്റെ മടിയിൽ ചേർന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന അനുജനോട് പറയുന്ന വാക്കുകളാണ്.ഒരു സിനിമ വിജയിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടിറങ്ങിയവന്റെ/അവളുടെ മനസിൽ നിന്നും വിട്ടുമാറാത്ത വിധത്തിൽ അത് ആഴത്തിൽ പതിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുമ്പോഴാണ്. വർഷങ്ങൾ ഏറെ ആയിട്ടും "ഋതു" മനസ്സിൽ കോറിയിട്ട മുറിവുകൾക്ക് ഉണക്കമായിട്ടില്ല.

  ശരത്തും വർഷയും സണ്ണിയും. അവരുടെ കുട്ടിക്കാലത്തിന് പുതുമഴയുടെ ഗന്ധമാണ്. കളങ്കമറ്റ കുസൃതികൾക്ക് സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ രുചിയാണ്. കാലമൊരുപാട് വേഗത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാലും ഇടക്കെങ്കിലും ഓർമകളിൽ കെട്ടുപിണഞ്ഞു നാം പിടയാറുണ്ട്, മുന്നോട്ട് പോവാൻ ഒരു പിടിവള്ളി പോലുമില്ലാതെ ഉഴലാറുണ്ട്‌. ഇവിടെ ശരത്തിനും സംഭവിച്ചത് അതാണ്. ഉറ്റ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ…

  Ritu is known to have started a new wave in Malayalam cinema back in the days.

  I remember it watching it back in the day, but I am pretty sure back then, 10 or 11 year old might not have understood anything lol (probably didn’t even understand Asif was gay - or even what the term means).

  Watching it today, well it felt like it is slightly messy and clumsy- but I will also have to consider it released in 2009. 

  The music as usual was great, performances also pretty decent. The theme they went with was actually pretty interesting- three friends seperated by distance and estranged. The naive one believes everything is still the same, his friends are the…

  Adulthood forces people who were together for years to take different paths in life. When they get back and plan a future together it doesn't always work out because their life experience transforms their personalities and make them incompatible with each other. As tragic as it may sound, people change just like seasons, that's life..!!

  wtf gay little asif ali!!

  often cited as the film that began a new wave of malayalam cinema, its intro being set in a gay club in 2009 was bold as hell. not great representation or even a particularly well executed film but you’d think such a strong image being the start of a new wave would signify something; except it’s 2025 and we still do not have too many movies with major queer characters. GET ON IT MALLUS!!!

  Happy to see many fresh faces - Asif Ali, Vinay Fort, Rima Kallingal are leading actors now. Hats off to Shyamaprasad for finding those fresh talents. Nishan will be the one missing now who did justice to his role.

  Final 10 minutes of the movie took it to another level 👌

  Songs, dialogues 🔥

  Power of the screenplay is that we never feel the amateurish acting of new comers. Shyamaprasad is one of the directors who made sesnsible movies in those dark ages of malayalam cinema.

  Shots of the lake side was beautiful, would like to visit that place one day.
