Keeping up with the movies that I would’ve never learned about if it weren’t for this site, here we have a slow-burn vampire teen flick about a strange kid who arrives in a small town in Saskatchewan with an elderly woman who immediately takes her life right on the opening. He’s taken under the custody of the town’s sheriff, who tries to uncover the mystery of who he is (which, I mean, me and the poster already gave away), while Rufus tries not to eat everyone.

A indie film that I was surprised by how good it was. The main character is a vampire but this is more of a moody drama then a horror film but very atmospheric and some strong performance make this an intriguing film. The story is weak but its got a good location and a pretty cool soundtrack. I enjoyed it, its very character driven and takes it's time but I found it interesting. I recommend it if you're looking for an indie film and something different, this is for you.

Kim Coates plays a slice of ming, twisting to get what he wants. I'm glad this town can keep secrets.
This little-known vampire-ish movie was made a few years ago, but only recently became available to rent or own on Amazon or anywhere else. Maybe it's because of distribution deals or rights or whatever, I don't know. I just know that I liked it a lot. It's very reminiscent of Let the Right One In, but its tone is not as somber. That doesn't make it as good as or better than that film, just different. Loved the music and atmosphere, and the lead Rory J. Saper does an excellent job of portraying an eternally lost boy.

Very different take on the Vampire film though it slightly resembles Let the Right One In and it's U.S. remake Let Me In in the elements of mood and tone but not so much in matters of plot.

What’s the deal with Vampires and baseball?
"Hunted" is a film that was released in 2012 under the title "Rufus" which I feel is a more fitting title than "Hunted".Regardless of what title it's under,it is a great vampire film.
Rufus shows up in a small town after his very elderly ward delivers him there, she then steps in front of a bus and he is alone.Before she dies he promises her he will try and blend in. He then moves in with a family who lost a son in a terrible accident. The man of the family just happens to be the sheriff,which could either be a blessing or a curse!

Likeable, downbeat teen version of Let The Right One in, replete with angsty soundtrack and a good looking cast. Slightly odd editing makes the film look like a TV series compressed into a couple of hours. Moody rather than scary.
