Listen, apologies to the directors, but this is the dumbest best worst weirdest most sincere movie I've seen at this festival so far.
So it's a suburban dad family drama, right? Like it has everything you'd expect, distant stoic dad and unstable mom with an adorable tyke to round out the picture, but there is also a fucking planet that is going to hit earth AND the dad is a superhero AND there's time travel AND alien worlds AND the budget is like 1 dollar and you can tell.
Because the budget is 1 dollar, the plot contrives for the planet to have basically no effect on the world to the point where it feels like a punchline every time…
WOW. I’m an intern at the Newport Beach Film Festival and when I saw clips of this film after doing my marketing research I knew from the beginning this had to be played in this festival.
From the cinematography to the production design to the acting, this film is so beautifully made. It’s so unique because it makes you feel a wave of emotions. The storyline is just so unique and I truly mean when I say this: This is what I call a true sci-fi film!
It was such an honor to watch it along with some of the cast and crew. Meeting them after was even better! This film was just as amazing as their cast and crew! Everyone who was part of this film is so humble and sweet! By far one of my favorite films shown at the festival!
Can’t wait for Saturn 2!
me when my full beat and carved eyebrows won’t save the world
“Do I not deserve to live?”
Stunning cinematography, and you can feel the filmmakers’ passion, but this is just not good. This melodrama takes itself too seriously with wooden dialogues and a frustratingly confusing plot. The writing and acting are bland and mediocre. This film tries to emulate the works of Nolan and Villeneuve, but in style only. I believe that sci-fi movies should be entertaining at their core, and this one fell short of that. The concept is ambitious but come on, this is just a less cool version of The Wandering Earth. Go watch that instead
Beautifully shot and colored. Story and dialogue a little weak. Awesome concept though.
What I Saw At St. Louis International Film Festival!!!
a really cool indie sci-fi flick
it’s ambition can sometimes exceed it’s budget
but this was pretty damn good
no part of me understood what was happening at any point….but i’ll allow it?
Truly epic. Heartbreaking love story that explores the meaning of being “saved.”
Sad to say that it wasn’t great. Had a cool concept and idea but took it in a direction that didn’t feel consistent. A slow first act, corny second act, mediocre third act. Lacking character development and poor acting besides the child. I appreciated the films production and the third act still had some good moments to it but nothing crazy.
Boring, annoying, and cliché
that wormhole powerpoint presentation was awesome
Destiny reference.
