When will this pandemic of mediocre Hindi films end?
When you take "I would cross seven seas for you" and "I would die for you" literally
The amount of stammering Radhika Madan did in this film was equivalent to my will to continue this film
not a single person in this story has working braincells. utter garbage.
came for the emo vibes from the trailer and was unsurprised that it's the director of jannat(s) and tum mile. anyway, i suppose the general reaction to this once again shows the disdain for filminess growing in people's minds (online) because like, everyone is doing the same woke scold and pointing out irrational character decisions. i toh had such a fun and thrilling experience with its ridiculous plotting, impulsive emotions, emo album, a pinch of self-awareness and the vibrant world. i understand the tackiness in some of the decisions but when i love what it's aiming for.
radhika is a star since her tv days (tho admittedly underutilized, as usual for these) and i guess the guy is fine (vicky…
Kunal Deshmukh’s drama in which a love-struck man can make his way over the seven seas for his dream girl, even if it means thwarting her special occasion. In Hindi with English subtitles.
Sunny Kaushal gives a very good performance in his role as Jaggi, the hockey player who falls in love with the girl who he considers to be very special, but he is going to have stop something very important if he is to get his hands on her.
Elsewhere, there is a very decent performance to be had from Radhika Madan in her part as Kartika, the swimming girl who initially doesn’t want anything to do with Jaggi, while Mohit Raina and Diana Penty are both fine…
Now listen … this was such overly exaggerated character and story writing but the one part that put me over the complete hysterical edge was Radhika very seriously saying ‘Humpty Dumpty had a great fall’ I MEAN WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS AN APPROPRIATE DIALOGUE TO WRITE AT THE END LMAOOOOOOO
Thanks for the laughs
It’s slightly disturbing to know that Bollywood filmmakers, let alone subtlety– can’t embrace even the contemporary language. We still think that we can survive on the staples of outdated Urdu-Hindi dialogues mouthed awkwardly by the ‘hero’. Stalking might not be very right but it’s charming and funny nevertheless. It’s really cool to be homophobic and ideal characters at the same time. It’s incredibly brave to travel under the wheels of an aeroplane, freezing. Filmmakers still think that creating fake profiles in order to brave administration is a brilliant way to reach a destination. Also, did I mention that it isn’t right for a woman to move on after a hookup and be friends with the guy?
Shiddat is complete with…
i wanted to like this film...
first, sunny looks like discount rajkumar rao.
second, harassment as romance in 2021??? idk about that.
it's mixing this modernity of casual friends to romance with this very heavy 90s style endless devotion -- and it just comes across quite sudden and one sided. did radhika love sunny or was she just floored by how far this random guy is willing to go for her? did sunny really fall in love with radhika after having sex or was he just a one girl kind of man?
but it's not that i... didn't? enjoy it. it was kind of fun. it's a mood. i surprisingly don't hate the ending, i can't exactly explain why. i…
this feels like a modern 90s film.
and no, I won’t elaborate.
hot men without the obvious, easy and non fatal alternative solutions ✨a romantic bollywood movie✨😃
Love-struck Jaggi can cross the seven seas for his dream girl, Kartika even if it means stopping her wedding.
Shiddat tries exceedingly hard to pass itself off as a modern, progressive love story about an independent girl who believes in living on her terms. But that is a losing battle because the boy who forces her hand is somebody who needs urgent counselling. Jaggi hopes to land a stable job if he breaks into the national hockey team. But we do not see him do anything concrete in pursuit of that goal. He thinks he is fine to gate-crash the wedding of a diplomat.
Shiddat portrays two types of love - one that blossoms in a French language class between…
