The film centers on a Spanish tapas bar and the love lives of the loosely interconnected people in the neighborhood surrounding the bar. The pairs of lovers include a middle aged woman and a young man; an elderly, drug dealing woman and her terminally ill husband in poor health; the tapas bar owner and his estranged wife; and two Chinese immigrants.

Lighthearted Spanish comedy released in 2005 with a big charming of the epoch.
It’s about five intertwined stories set in Barcelona, each story has a straight connection with each other, having a bar as the common point between each piece.
It’s a simple movie, it’s surrounded by Spanish songs of the 2000s and also by the iconic way of dressing of that years. It’s a well paced movie and it didn’t become annoying to me since I understood the purposes of the piece and I connected with it.
I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody, especially not for non Spanish people, because they are going to find it dull, too…

La actuación y la verdad de la historia de Conchi y Mariano me ha hecho llorar toda la película, es que literalmente el resto de historias me han dado completamente igual, esta nota va para ellos dos solos <3
aún así una peli bonita y sobretodo humana que es lo que mejor sabemos hacer en el cine español, retratar la humanidad y el reflejo de nuestra sociedad, esperaba una comedia y me voy : llorando
