While definitely an all-around solid short film, it did have some peculiar editing and writing choices, which were, at the very least, questionable, and at the most, downright unnecessary. For one, Roberts the protagonist, (as a character) was developed in a rather splintered and irregular manner. It seemed as if the screenwriter couldn't decide on whether he left home because of a bad childhood (a la fighting and turning a kid into a vegetable) or if it was due to some incident with his lost lover (the girl who wrote him the letter).
