"Well that's not good enough" -Richie,
Tornado bad.
This is a fun enough film about tornadoes but for me it is lacking that extra oomph that turns it into a good or interesting movie. I like Bruce Campbell and Ernie Hudson but for the most part this just feels like a paint by numbers disaster film lacking in flair.
It just kind of happened.
here to punch my bruce campbell card and miserably shuffle along
In Bruce Campbell terminology, it's like Moontrap, but on Earth. No sense nor point to this, but Bruce's ass looked nice in jeans, so there's that at least.
Being transgender makes this movie 10 times funnier bc you get to hear Bruce Campbell say “I’m a chaser” like 10 times.
We're all just roadkill here on Tornado Alley.
Take Twister. Remove the CGI budget, which is 90% of Twister. Distill it to its essence: it's a dumb cowboy movie, and who better than Bruce Campbell for that. Very, very questionable science. Huge plates of southern breakfasts. Denim. Needed more actual tornadoes (refer back to CGI budget) to get over the hump, but with the nonstop weather quips and comfy 90s vibes it's way more entertaining than it has any right to be.
Bruce Campbell in a Hallmark produced natural disaster movie... heck yes! Too bad he didn't go full Evil Dead on the tornado with a chainsaw or something. 😄 A more serious attempt than you'd expect. Truly a Twister ripoff... even if the webz says it was released one day before Twister. Convenient timing Hallmark... 🤔.
I love Twister, its one of my favorite blockbusters of all time, the cast is excellent. We got bill Paxton, Helen Hunt, Sean Whalen, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Alan Ruck, Cary Elwes, its great stuff. Watching it again I realized th...... Wait I just watched Tornado! Disregard the whole beginning of this review. Its an easy mistake to make though because they are practically the same movie, they don't even try to tell a more original story with the concept. Which is a shame because I love tornado and dangerous weather movies. This film had a lot of potential that it squanders pretty much for whatever reason. Even Bruce Campbell seems to just phone it in and sees this as a…
Lots of talk about Bruce Campbell's inability to finish in this film
I love Bruce Campbell and I love tornadoes.
Shameless Twister rip-off Tornado! pairs its protagnist with a female co-worker/romantic interest and follows the two, and a group of scientists, as they try to place wind-measuring technology inside the eye of a storm. Details (the rival scientists in Twister are rival weather men here, for instance) have been shuffled around a bit, but plot, plot-progression and structure often feel almost identical to the original. Tornado! of course is different in that it's a TV-movie production so it lacks polish and the digital visual effects are laughable by comparison, but it generally manages to present nature as a powerful threat surprisingly well. Considering that the actors probably were allowed fewer takes than their A-list colleagues, I'd say their performances are…
why bruce campbell bite licking his lips so much in this :P
this is quite literally the Walmart version of Twister and Bill Paxton is sadly not present, but I how can I complain when Bruce Campbell is here instead
