  A foolproof plan turns to shit for a gang of bank robbers in this horror slasher from Russia. Smoky smoke. Bullet casing. Going all Bodhi on some motherfuckers. Yummy apple pie! When choosing hostages, it's always a great idea to select at least one beautiful lady. Maps tell you the direction to go. Scary staircase. Spooky story. Unsteady aim. Grom's intensity. Cocaine nose rub. I think the Ninja Turtles trained in this creepy sewer. Splint's stare. Anyone who has an eye collection should be avoided at all cost.   Trackman is a Russian bank-heist-slasher film I threw on after a really long day yesterday of after-hours retirement parties and BSA compliance officers barking checklist interrogations at me about ink cartridges and vault keys. I was going to log this on the computer at work today but decided against it once I realized writing about a Russian bank-heist-slasher film in a bank wasn't very smart.

  Mostly set in a dingy, dark and dripping wet sewer system under the heisted-bank I found myself weaving in and out of interest. Sorta on the yikes side when the dubbing interpreted some lines of warning as "there are Chernobyl freaks in the sewers". There's a lot of eye gouging and various attempts at every…

  A Russian bank heist goes pretty smooth except for a few dead police officers. The criminals take a hostage apiece and go underground into the abandoned metro line.

  The escape is proceeding as planned until a psycho with a mining pickaxe shows up and begins to pick off the group; collecting eyes along the way.

  Dmitriy Orlov is the leader and once the group gets rid of the groups' resident psycho the bad guys turn good guys and are determined to escape and rescue their lovely hostages, Svetlana Metkina and Yuliya Mikhaylova.

  Some solid pyro EFX at the end along with a firewalk (love firewalks).

  A twist along the way is nicely done.

  I really liked this killer and could see him being an iconic Russian slasher, but I haven't seen Trackman II and it has been 12 years since this one came out. Oh well, wishful thinking.

  A overall horrible slasher movie from Russia due to horrendous English dubbing, lackluster script and presentation, generic characters, choppy headache-inducing editing and cinematography, uninteresting kills, lazy direction, and cheap-feeling production values overall. Skip this one at all costs.

  Мутный российский слэшер, в котором есть пара красивых кадров. Тем не менее убогий сценарий, неумение работать по канонам жанра, полное отсутствие логики или хотя бы заменяющего ее лихого трэша ( на 80 минут бади каунт - 4) не позволяют получить от происходящего удовольствия, а последние две минуты доламывают остатки смысла в происходящем. Главная находка фильма - чем напряженее по замыслу режиссёра момент, тем сильнее штормит камеру.

  This should be right up my alley as I'm a sucker for underground horror films, especially ones involving a sadistic killer stalking the unsuspecting victims. This killer even has a propensity towards removing his victims eyeballs for some reason so what's not to like!? Unfortunately sort of a lot. Annoying cast, lots of roaming around dark and/or foggy tunnels, and unless I missed it, not really any explanation on the killer? The final scene does do a little reveal but I would've preferred more, which makes me feel like I zoned out and missed something - my Russian is very poor so please excuse if that's the case! I actually started with the English dubbed…

  Russischer Slasher mit Heist-Überbau, der gerne wenigstens so gut wäre wie die schlechteste Szene aus My Bloody Valentine. Aber diese würde mit Trackman gewaltig den Boden aufwischen. Mit Schmackes. Trackman hat erzählerisch wirklich gar nichts im Angebot. Und auch das Handwerk passt nicht. Allein Editing und Kamera sorgten bei mir für permanentes Kopfschütteln. Pfui!

  Russian slasher with a hot superstructure that would like to be at least as good as the worst scene from My Bloody Valentine. But this one would wipe the floor with Trackman. With flavor. Trackman really has nothing narrative to offer. And the craft doesn't fit either. Just editing and camera work gave me a permanent head shake. Yuck!

  Though Trackman certainly had the potential to be interesting, somehow the film managed to avoid even brushing up against that potential. It sort of feels like a corporate studio remake of a really over-the-top giallo that wants to be "gritty" and "realistic" thus sucking all the life out of the initial premise. Allegedly this has a pretty atrocious English dub, but I can't imagine that would heavily downgrade something that's already kinda shitty to begin with. In fact, it might even make this memorable!

  Maybe my rating's harsh as Trackman is more underwhelming than it is outright terrible, but I had been hoping that if it was terrible, it would at least be terrible in an interesting way. And given that was the director who did The Vampire Family, there's really no excusing such a lackluster production.

  76 Minuten Langeweile. Hier passiert mal so gar nichts. Kann man sich schenken.

  Vor allem weiß man net mal mit wem man sympathisieren soll. Mit dem Killer oder den Bankräubern, die ihre Geiseln scheiße behandeln? Und auch hier wird das Verhältnis untereinander später sehr affig.

  Editing, Story, Kamera auch alles nicht der Rede wert und auch die deutsche Synchro ist sehr kostengünstig realisiert worden.

  That’s not a real quote, but definitely a movie I could see sporting a generous quote from Shawn Edwards 😅 ...and by that I mean bad. If you decide to watch it, I recommend putting English subtitles on and using the Russian audio. The dubbing is worse than the movie itself.
