I almost saw this Brit flick at BFI Flare last year, but glad to have now found this hidden gem on Netflix.
An ageing drag act, Jackie (Derren Nesbitt), finds out that she's terminally ill but is insistent on performing and doing something which she enjoys best. Jackie takes a young, recently-ostracized drag queen, Faith (Jordan Stephens - the Rizzle Kicks guy), under her wing and the two develop a heartening friendship that amuses as an odd couple kind of tale. Faith helps Jackie check off a bucket list of sorts, taking her to a strip club, getting a tattoo, and rendezvousing with a drug dealer. There's plenty of wisdom to be found in the young/old dynamic presented here too.…
