Watch a Christmas horror movie
A modern slasher with the vibes and sensibility of a forgotten SOV film, although its shot with digital cameras and is all in focus. The problem is I rarely like SOV films, and I also don’t really like the look of modern B-films that are clearly decently-produced but have little visual dynamism.
The gore is very impressive for the budget with a number of kills that will delight horror-hounds, with the mileage varying on exactly how many depending on taste and engagement. Only one really thrilled me.

Drew Marvick is a great Santa Claus even in this sleazy slasher. His "Ho, ho, ho!" mixed with maniacal laughter is perfect. XXX-Mas begins innocent enough, Santa with his milk and cookies while watching an old Christmas b-movie. Then things get more sinister.
A porn director decides he wants to make a Christmas porn, complete with a script. As they are filming, people are being picked off with some amazing kills. The humor is dark but often funny and it has competition with great kills. This is everything I am looking for in a slasher.

This is silly as hell with colorful characters, ample boobage, cringy hornball dialogue, and some gnarly practical effects kills. Ti West’s “X” but hornier and more Christmasy. A bunch of babes and muscle hunks go shoot a porn in a secluded house until Santa shows up killing people. Scream queen Morrigan Thompson stands out giving the best performance here as the disgruntled stripper / final girl. Some of it suffers from poor jokes and over acting but Morrigan plays it straight throughout and there’s enough killer gore effects and tits galore to satisfy anyone.

Santa Claus is trying to relax. Eating milk and cookies and watching Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964). He discovers Mrs. Claus has cheated on him and recorded it on the very same tape. Effects were decent. Most of the dialog was bad, at least until things get rolling…about 45 minutes in. So really slow start. Honestly, the first half is kind of a slog, but the second half is pretty fun. I’m hoping I’ll dig it a lot more on rewatch. Lots of boobs, though! Worth watching.
