A pilgrimage for a Kurdish traditional song, slowly translates into a journey of identity, revelations, historical trauma, but all of it not free of the warm hospitality that comes with the inviting rural Turkish landscape, that brings with it the soft gaze, smiles and laughs of the people over tea, along with their amusing curiousity of why a young Kurdish-American would come this far, for something as simple and insignificant as the origins of a forgotten song, that only a few elders may still remember.
