It's my go to rom com. A funny and tear jerking story and sometimes that's all you need. It’s not perfect, granted, but it knows where and when to find the impactful moments. The father/son relationship between Gleeson and Nighy and the slow burning romance between the former and McAdams builds into a beautifully satisfying arc.
