This movie took twice the length of the runtime to actually get through, because I constantly was pausing to take a brief Wikipedia break. Regardless of how accurate the film is (it seems better than most ‘based on real events’ media, but was released shortly after the actual events took place, and is rooted in an operation that still is shrouded in a degree of mystery) I learned so much from the research it encouraged me to do.

In all seriousness, an incredibly interesting and informative watch. I have never been interested in fungi prior to this watch, but now I am fascinated by a kingdom of species that rules our planet.

A story of a man who wants his dreams so badly that he is willing to degrade himself and destroy his personality and relationships to achieve it.

Had the feet stuff, had the color grading, had the exposition flashbacks that were nothing more than filler, but it lacked the gore of a true Tarantino film until the hippie massacre at the end. The slow burn to the yuppie ball crunch performed by a pit bull was well worth it.
In all seriousness, an interesting look into the lives of an assortment of Hollywood adjacent individuals. Some scenes, like most Tarantino movies, felt unneeded for the overall plot,…
