I watch movies and film stuff.
Hi /tv/
"Boogie Nights" is an amazing film starring the like of Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds, Julianne Moore, William H. Macy, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson "Boogie Nights" shows the world and society in which pornography and it's various stars grew famous in. We see these people not as pornstars but as actual people and grow attached to each. As the years pass and these performers are faced by different challenges we feel their pain and distress. Never have I feared more for a film character (I'm looking at you Donut shop scene).
"The Room" masterfully written, directed, produced, and starring Tommy Wiseau tells the Shakespearean tragedy of Johnny, a banker who is betrayed by the "love of his life", Lisa. Fueled by powerful performances and flawless directing, "The Room" is a masterpiece in filmmaking that will definetely leave it's audience speechless.
A very solid yet underwhelming adaption of the Year One comic. As a huge Batman fan I was initially attracted to this movie because of Bryan Cranston suprisingly who plays a very good Jim Gordon. Although this film should really be called "Gordon. Year One" I disliked this Batman due to the voice acting and were it not for Cranston I probably would have avoided it. Despite not having Kevin Conroy I felt this movie stays true to the original Batman origin and I would recommend it to hardcore fans.
