Crazy how on-screen male beauty already peaked in the 50s with men like Brando.

An effectively unnerving feminist body horror pic with incredible sound design. Incredibly uses a supernatural story to not only convey the pains of motherhood but confront the forced virtuous image that comes with being a mother. It becomes as much about the protagonist navigating her sense of self as it is about those physically enduring nine months that women live through.

A horror film, a psychodrama, a biopic, and a tense political thriller rolled into one, OPPENHEIMER is an immersive cinematic achievement that deserves to be seen on the biggest, loudest screen possible.

    Sundance #9:

For such a grotesque folk horror with some traumatizing sights, You Won't Be Alone is oddly moving. A poetic, sexual, gory, and philosophical telling of womanhood and gender conformation that gets better the more I think about it.

Also, bonus points for the use of practical makeup effects.
