If you’re an animal lover especially dolphins this one is not for you.
This documentary really got me to the core regarding Japan and dolphins. I mean I knew the Japanese were still hunting whales but I never knew they were hunting dolphins, granted it’s not happening all over Japan it’s just happening in the town of Taiji but still though…it’s best you watch this for yourself I’d rather not say or spoil anything.
This film…is by far one of the best films I’ve ever seen in my life. This mockumentary film holds so much to it not just in pure horror but also regarding political and social issues that are relevant today. This is a film I would describe with a term coined by YouTuber Ryan Hollinger called “Found photography” where instead of found footage the films story is told through stills and pictures.

This anime film is by far an amazing gem of Japanese animation. It was the gateway anime for so many people in the late 80s and early 90s. A fantastic beautiful piece of animation that looks as if it was done today! This wasn’t well received at first upon release in the US due to people not understanding Japanese animation along with the violence and effects of Tetsuo’s transformation. But, it gained the recognition and respect it deserved later on. …
