I love Studio Ghibli so much. I’ve been waiting to watch this and it did not disappoint 🙏 so so much bird poop though.

The most meaningful movie I have ever seen. What a whirlwind of emotions. Such an INTENSE depiction of loss, complicated family relationships, romantic relationships, friendships, and relationships with one’s self. A super dark, yet hopeful coming of age. Definitely needs a million trigger warnings, but I feel most people would benefit greatly from watching this.

I love the take on emotional issues using intense physical gore. Incredible acting, set design, and sound track! Everything came together to create such a niche scene of the contrast of beauty and gore. Wonderful job!!

OH MY GOD when they frickin were beating up the football players I felt years of trauma levitate out of my body. If you are dumb and decide not to watch the whole movie, at least watch that scene. And once you watch it you WILL watch the rest of it. Don’t fight it.
