WE LIVE IN TIME is a beautiful, heartbreaking, and moving tale about life. John Crowley’s film became easily my favorite of the year. I cried (no surprise there!), smiled, laughed, felt all emotions deeply and profoundly. Garfield and Pugh’s chemistry is felt through the big screen; they work perfectly well together to the point I wished the film was longer and had additional screen-time marveling at their love. Words simply cannot elucidate how much this film means to me as a whole. Grief is life-changing, losing a loved one will wound you forever, but we keep living. If not for us, for them.

The abrupt shifts suggest it was originally conceived as a television show rather than a full-length film. Disney should seriously reconsider its obsession with sequels. Only positive thing I can say is I loved the songs.

Sleeping Beauty 1959
How fitting that the very first rewatch and log on my new and pristine account is Sleeping Beauty.
