  It’s always like peering into another world when an artist creates a work biographical to their craft. The theme of passion and love for art in the first half as well as throughout the movie was beautiful in a way I’ve never seen before. I thought the movie (and the source material) could’ve spent longer exploring loss. After the crucial plot point towards the end the movie feels like it had an abrupt end.

  My only complaint is that I wish I saw more of Fujimoto; tell us more about your art!

  They could never make me hate you, Charlie Barber. This movie was an absolute masterclass in acting spearheaded by Adam Driver but also with a beautiful performance by Scarlett Johansson. The writing was at times predictable, but the emotions it portrays is incredibly raw and real nonetheless.
