The Wild Robot 2024
What an absolutely beautiful film to look at. From the very beginning I was snatched up like a little goose egg. However I think it loses itself by the last 20 minutes.
Not every animated villain has to be visually present. This could've easily been an in house (or forest in this case) conflict within a found family situation. I think if it didn't feel like such a drastic (slight) dip in quality, this could've been my favorite animated film of last year.
Do more of this DreamWorks. Please.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi 2017
My first time watching this since it's initial release and man I wish I could give this a higher score. Visually beautiful, practical effects were amazing, choreography was really fun, but I think it was just too full. They backed themselves into a corner unfortunately (but also... Literally I guess) and had a messy way of getting to the movie's finish line.
But if they took what happened in this film and properly continued it in Rise of Skywalker, then I think this trilogy would've had much stronger legs to stand on. The mouse showed it's true face with the fallout of this movie.
