  Kobayashi never puts a foot wrong. Each individual element is applaudable by its own right but when drawn together produce this absolute mastery of cinema. His narrative are immensely enchanting and maintain the almost esoteric feeling of spoken mouth fables while commanding your complete attention. Movement and dialogue is used sparingly, deftly and with great effect. 5/5
