Was mir an Jeremias Gotthelfs Schwarze Spinne so gefallen hat ist sein Sarkasmus. Du bekommst das Gefühl, als ob Gotthelf über all dem steht. Über der Dummheit und den abgründigsten Seiten der Menschen. Er macht mit denen, was er will.
Das habe ich im Film nicht wiedergefunden. Und das Weglassen vom Ende des Buchs fand ich sehr ungenial. Dass der Pflock nach hunderten von Jahren wieder geöffnet wird und das Unheil erneut einbricht. Das ist doch eine der wichtigsten Messages…Translated from by -

Howl is so beautiful! He looks androgynous. Sophie also, kind of. But I don’t like the role allocation. Howl as the savior who has to look after the little good girl Sophie, which cooks, cleans and encourages him. Ugh. But I still really really like this movie. The landscape and everything!
