I am surprised that this is now an animated film - but after a short time it is not particularly disturbing. The prequel to the Transformers films works for the most part, but is also in no way special or unexpected. The “curve of seriousness” bothers me - what starts out as a children's movie is much more serious at the end and, in my opinion, no longer for the same target group.

Kraven the Hunter 2024
Kraven is a “difficult character”, which is not only because he does evil to achieve good - which in itself appeals to me. The movie has a good cast, especially Russel Crowe, the acting is okay and the effects are also impressive - but in the end it doesn't appeal to me. The story is too up and down for me and I don't really understand the character or anything else. Two hours without anything sticking at the end or giving me the feeling that I had been told a story.

Bumblebee 2018
Nach dem kompletten CGI-Overkill des letzten Transformer-Teils ein guter, ruhiger Start des neuen Spin-Offs. Zurück in den 80igern erfahren wir wie Bumblebee zu seinem Namen kam und "zu sprechen" lernte. Dabei sind die meisten Sachen überraschend plausibel und mehr als nur schlechtes "Solo"-Fanservice. Ein guter Schritt zurück - weniger CGI, kein Sexismus, statt dessen eine gute menschliche Hauptdarstellerin, etwas Gefühl und sogar schmunzeln.
