  Firstly, I found this movie enjoyable however, it falls into many of the same pitfalls as other modern action adventure movies i.e. Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny.   Gorgeous, hilarious, dark and twisted. The performances were incredible from everyone with Emma Stone truly standing outfit me, her versatility is infectious. This is my first feature film from Yorgos Lanthimos and his direction is so unique and refreshing. I just love seeing directors play with interesting shots even if they work or they don’t, in this case regarding the fish eye lens shots, they definitely work and add to uneasy or odd feeling the movie has throughout

  I am firstly very glad people got something out of this special. I am also wondering how this caused so much controversy when it first released. I think it’s certainly an interesting special subverting the usual expectations of building and releasing tension through jokes however, past that to put it very simply  it’s not very funny.
