It’s so crazy this got nominated for so many Oscars. its the perfect example of a movie that should have merely pissed everyone off at festivals and then faded into “this has Oscar buzz” obscurity for 15 years, watched only when some annoying film school professor needs something in the syllabus to teach about…idk lighting or something I guess, and wants to be edgy instead of just showing The Godfather.
