  ❤️well. this made me sad, felt very near. Its very interesting that this is a children's movie, as its nothing like the type of stories we’d share with kids in the USA, but not in a good or bad way, just different. Actually, a story like this intended for kids treats them with much more respect, because is assumes that kids arent dumb and can absorb more subtle and layered stories, which I think is excellent and important.

  hahahahha this had like the most mundane but unhinged characters the whole time I felt like I was being gaslit by the movie because it felt so absurd yet nothing happened and then, yes indeed, things happened. they definitely did for sure. And I have no fucking clue why those things happened
