This was a good premise in theory, but it still falls under the white savior trope. It still made me emotional

You had to be high to have come up with this concept
I knew this film touched a difficult subject, but wow; such a harrowing story with an impressive narrative and an astounding cinematography. I loved the first person pov, it made this experience a lot more intimate. The camerawork amazed me throughout the whole film, its so impressive and beautifully shot
The acting is stellar, Adrien Brody truly deserves that Oscar win and Felicity Jones stole the show. The first part really got me excited for the second half, but it was a little disappointing. For having a runtime of 3 and a half hours the characters and storyline are rather incomplete. Hated the editing.
