I think The Matrix (1999) was a good movie that explored some interesting concepts that are still being talked about today. That being said I don't really think there's anything special about it and it's kind of a watch once type of movie. It's also a shame that this movie came out before Linkin Park's first album because that would've fit so well with the vibe of the movie. Overall if you're a fan of sci fi or Keanu Reeves you can give this movie a watch but otherwise there's probably something better you can watch.

I rewatched Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022) for the second time with some friends, and it was as great as I remember. I think this film really stands out because of the mix of constant humor with the serious topic of our insignificance in the grand scheme of the universe. I think the film leaves you with a good message at the end, and to be honest I couldn't help myself from tearing up at some of the wholesome scenes in the movie. EEAAO is also up for 11 different Oscars, so I'm not alone in thinking this is a great movie everyone should watch.

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) is Quentin Tarantino's latest film, and it's a good one (like they all are). With a star studded cast including but not limited to Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, Tarantino keeps you interested throughout the film. The movie is an alternate telling of the Manson murders, a concept I don't think I've seen in a film before. It's endearing, fun, and I'd recommend it to any Tarantino fan (everyone).

    No Country for Old Men

    ★★★★½

No Country For Old Men (2007) is a modern western set in the early 80s. It's thrilling, violent, and has one of the most disturbing villains I've seen in a while. I haven't seen many westerns, and I think this movie is a good intro to that genre (it was for me at least). I thought the movie's plot was executed well, and I couldn't have guessed how it was going to end. That's one of the main things I liked about this movie: it's unpredictableness. Overall, I'd recommend this movie to anyone with good taste.
