  This movie was uncomfortable, strange and visceral. Would I watch it again, probably not, and I think I would be hesitant to recommend it to just anyone. 

  However it does have impact, it’s unique aesthetic  and powerful use of the grotesque has left an impression on me. It reminded me of Artaud's “theatre of cruelty”, so much so that I wouldn’t be surprised if he influenced Greenaway in the making of this.
