Nic Cage rules, dude. This movie is like a pressure cooker, and Cage's intensity is the perfect match for a story where everything is inches from falling apart. The action scenes here are effortful,and every character looks like they're on the verge of collapsing after every scene.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 2005
Extremely visually disorienting, I only recommend watching this movie if you, like me, watched this a dozen times on DVD when it came out. Considering the level of effects and acting, this occupies a disproportionate amount of space in my brain.
